We all want integration, to be full and whole and complete. But the paradox of what we are requires us to periodically dismantle ourselves. To take things apart and suck up the shame and let things be messy for a while. We don't have to apologize to our guests and say "sorry it's such a mess" we just have to be willing to be wrong, to be confused, to create space in ourselves for new combinations to take place. What previously seemed complete and finished we later find lacking. Either we live with this lacking or we take things apart and build something else.

"A child dreams of the new world"
I imagined the simultaneous realities of child like dreams- what it really must have felt like to imagine a 'new world' - to have the opportunity I am sure we have all pined for of a clean slate, a fresh start. The chance to build anything. Anything. And now to look back at this 244 year old experiment and really face the gravity of what really happened. The cultures lost. The countless people whos personal liberties and entire lives were given to try to build this dream, without their consent. The people STILL working, trapped, coerced, and exploited so that we can live out our delusion of material plenty. The lightness of childhood and dreaming and the gravity and weight of circumstance and necessity.
