[Thoughts behind this piece: Not sure if yall can see what I see here.... but I was chuckling the whole time I painted this. I made random marks with a palette knife and to me it's a person rising up from some kind of primordial muck. The line that kept going through my mind was 'just go back to where you came from' I was thinking it in light of our current political climate and simultaneously in the sense that as humans we really have no idea where we come from or what our business is in this big swirl of stuff and nothing.]
